Made of sodium carboxy methyl, a cellulose and wooden pulp that dissolves rapidly and completely in most liquids including water. Can be used to dam argon or helim gases during tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding of steel or aluminum pipes. After welding is complete, purge dam can be effortlessly dissolved and flushed our of the system with water, leaving no residue in the pipeline. The product is available in a variety of formats includingsheets, rolls, pre-formed dams and pressure-sensitive tapes. Envirornmentally friendly and non-toxic.
